If you have a green thumb, turn it red with strawberries and blue with blueberries or other fresh fruits at our local “you-pick-it” farms. There are so many exciting opportunities for the whole family such as farm festivals, hayrides and petting zoos. Before you leave, grab a basket and make sure you leave room in your pantry for Oconee’s finest local delicacies. Stop at one of our many roadside stands for some fresh produce or homemade peach ice cream!

Eagle

Take a step back in time at the historic Eagle Tavern Museum c. 1801 and follow the footsteps of the great American leaders such as William Crawford and George Walton. Also, take a quick drive to one of the last all-wooden bridges in Georgia, the Elder Mill Covered Bridge built in 1897. You may also wish to tour our many historic places like the William Daniell House c. 1790 and Ashford Manor c. 1893.
